Baby Girl Turns 10!

It's that time again. Where does the time go!?!  Our baby girl turns 10 today!  We celebrated over lunch with a few friends and family this past weekend.

Thank you, Papaw, for the life-sized Elsa and Anna!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Princess Butterfly!

Four HAPPY Birthdays Celebrated!

This year brought something new for us.  My sister, brother-in-law and niece are training in Hungary to be missionaries.  I am so thankful that we can video call with them often.

Family came from in and out of town to help us celebrate the birthdays.  First, we video called over to Hungary to wish my niece a happy 2nd birthday!  That child is so entertaining and lovable!

Second, it was time to celebrate Nana's birthday!  Lots of animal print flip-flops and flip-flop slippers plus a brain teaser book were given.

Now it was the Knight's turn . . . Pretzel cones was the favorite gift, I think.  They had to be mail ordered as local stores don't carry them anymore.

Bud has been asking for a pinata for his birthday.  How do you justify a pinata for three children?  You buy a mini-ata!

The Knight and Bud recently went on a Father/Son camping outing at church.  The Knight said I was trying to drag up bad memories by making a camping cake. Ha!  It seemed to be a bit hit though especially when it was time to light the candles and sing!

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY, BUD!

Happy 7th Birthday!

Seven years ago, we welcomed a BIG baby boy into our family. Although he wasn't in our plans, I'm glad he was in God's plan for us. He brings joy to me on a daily basis, and I don't know what I'd do without my little boy's hugs.

Happy Birthday, Bud!

We're Birthday Party Brainstorming!

I can't believe it, but one of our offspring will be 13 soon!  Some of us are in denial. {ahem. DAD!} After brainstorming today, I'm thinking it's pretty cool to have a teenager!  Here are most of our ideas . . . we are also going to try to have someone come in to do manicures  There will be "mud" masks, foot soaks, a couple crafts, and of course, a sleepover!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl (and Baby Brother)!

I didn't forget Butterfly's birthday.  It's just been too crazy to post on time because of another upcoming event.  She was definitely celebrated on time!

Cupcakes for her Sunday School class

Chocolate Ombre Rose cake

Daddy teased her friends they had to eat worms for lunch.  He went so far as to dig up worms in the rain. Glad they thought it was funny.  We had her favorites -- pizza, chips/cheese balls, and fresh veggies and grapes.

The girls had a fun time goofing around . . .

. . . and playing with dolls in the toy room.

She opened gifts quickly before heading back to church.

Thrilled with her new 3DS from mom & dad, Nana & Pappy, Grandma & Papaw and Uncle Josh & Aunt Mel.
On her birthday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese after piano lessons.  (Trust me.  This is a HUGE deal as it takes a big reason for mommy to willingly go there.  It's nice to go just as school is letting out locally.  Hardly anyone else there!)

Sparkle got the bonus -- over 130 tickets!

Bud sat at this game for a long time.  He'd come get more tokens and play it again. (It was driving a ski mobile type game.)  He just kept saying, "This is awesome!  This is awesome!

We sang Happy Birthday again to her on her birthday.

Since it's a monumental birthday, I can't forget to mention my baby brother's birthday as well.  I love that Butterfly and Uncle Jon share a birthday.

I guess there's always a special place in your heart for your youngest sibling -- especially since I used to be a little momma to him when he was a baby.  I'm very proud of what he has grown up to be and all that he has worked hard to accomplish.  Actually, I'm a tad jealous of all the extra-curricular things he's been able to do.  (See a few of them below.) Ah, the single life!  Love you, Jon!  Glad your 30th was a special one for you.  Happy Birthday!

Can't Believe She's 1!

Can't believe I didn't post for my niece's 1st birthday!  (Maybe I'll back date it to June before she's old enough to read -- HA!)  She is the most precious little human being you've ever seen!  Full of personality and bubbling over with happiness -- a perfect combination of her parents.  We love her dearly.  My kids can't get enough of her.

Here's a couple pictures from her "1st Birthday" photo shoot.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BELLA!

Happy 12th Birthday!

Not so little anymore, our baby girl.

Big kid toys . . .

Big girl earrings . . .

Asking for clothing items like a fuzzy robe . . . (there were times of tears when clothing was received in previous years)

Picking a "grown-up" cake . . .

You are unique. You are special. You are you, and that's why we love you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET PRINCESS SPARKLE!

A Little Pre-Birthday Fun

Because life is so busy, we helped Princess Sparkle celebrate her birthday a little early.  We invited two of her friends over and surprised her.  They had lots of fun hanging out and playing together.

Decorating cupcakes and making chocolate decorations

Kenna loves anything soft, pink and sparkly -- what a great gift!

It was a perfectly gorgeous day while we toured Heinz Field.

We finished the day at a church bowling activity.  Here's the three amigas!

Everyone bowled a pretty good game. Bud has been counting down the sleeps until this activity!

Sparkle bowled 3 spares, 2 strikes and had a total of 129 on her second game!
